Day #45: balanced news reporting. (100 days gratitude challenge)
It rained cats and dogs the last one week. It also rained criticisms by the holier than thou press who have the uncanny ability to dig out all the places where people are suffering and willing to pour tirades of poison on the administration. They knew of the impending rains but did not bother to let their viewers know of the floor preparedness efforts before it poured cats and dogs. If anyone was following the Tamil TV channels they would believe that the city administrators and govt were lackadaisical and reveled in seeing people suffer. Even social media journalists had their knives out and predicted doom and advised people to stay safe and dry. No one acknowledged the fact that this time the proactive measures and flood preparedness of our city management reduced the impact of the torrential rains that poured last week.
