Day #19: Laughter 100 Days Gratitude Challenge

Day #19:  Laughter
100 Days Gratitude Challenge
Have you had a good belly laugh lately? Then you are lucky. There are many people who go through years of their life not remembering when they had their last proper belly laugh, where they laughed so hard that tears streamed from their eyes and their heart almost stopped.

Last night I did at a dinner hosted for the organising committee of BOSS 2017 the event we just had last week. There was a person there, one Dr Sudhakar, who keeps us all in splits whenever we meet.  Last night he was true to his form and kept us roaring with laughter all through, that too without hurting anyone else.

That’s a true gift that he possesses. In an unassuming manner and with a soft voice he will ensure that everyone around him is in splits of laughter. I’ve had the privilege of going with him to the Himalayas last year and the 9 days was such a blast that we did not feel the hardness of the climb or the conditions there.
Everyone should have a few friends like him who will keep you crying with laughter. A good belly laugh has huge health benefits and we need to get this regularly in our life.
The seven benefits of Belly laughter are:
1. Lowers blood pressure
2. Reduces stress hormone levels
3. Works your abs
4. Improves the health of your heart
5. Boosts t-cells that improve your immunity
6. Triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers
7. Produces a general sense of well-being
One of the best feelings in the world is the deep-rooted belly laugh. It can bring people together and establish amazing connections.
Im grateful for having friends who make me laugh so hard that it keeps me healthy and happy.
